With 2 exclusive bonus tracks and 2 extended versions, The Ediacaran’s debut album „A Summer On The Brink“ is released as a limited 12" vinyl edition. Inspired by the image of a gathering storm on a hot summer day, it is, despite its contemplative themes, a largely positive and summery, light-hearted album that blends indie-folk, alt-pop, alternative R&B, and reggae influences.

The Ediacaran defines itself as an open project for musical collaborations. The project name refers to the prehistoric geological era of the same name, which was characterized by an early form of coexisting biodiversity, and reflects this musical variety. With guest contributions by 13 artists from Spain/Catalonia, Argentina, Italy, Jamaica, the UK, and Hungary, the focus is on cross-genre and cross-border collaboration. Producer, singer, and songwriter Bastido also places a strong emphasis on a handmade sound and predominantly analog productions – partly as a conscious reaction to the growing perfection and overproduction in the age of purely digital music.
